British Columbia at Edmonton (-4.5, 53)
British Columbia’s 0-2 start has them scratching their heads, with the embarrassing 31-28 loss to Hamilton as almost two touchdown favorites. The Lions out-gained the Ti-Cats 470-377, but lost the turnover battle 2-0. The defense has been placed in some tough situations because of all the offensive miscues the first two weeks; however they have to be stouter than allowing 29.5 points per game. B.C. comes in 20-5 ATS in road games off an upset loss as a favorite.
Edmonton was lambasted 50-16 in road opener at Montreal, being drilled for 31 fourth quarter points by the Alouettes. The Eskimos have committed four turnovers in two games, which is not horrible, but the defense has yet to force any, which is a conundrum trying to play on a shorter field or stopping the opposition from scoring. Edmonton is only 7-19-1 ATS against teams with losing records.
British Columbia has had their fair share of problems making the trip to Edmonton with 2-4 and 1-5 ATS mark since 2005. The Lions will have the incentive angle to play well and are 6-0 ATS as a road underdog.
